Smith Dental Care is currently hiring for a Credentialing Specialist within our Client Care Department to join our growing team. Ideally, we would love to have a candidate that is detail-oriented and willing to learn in our fast-paced environment.

Essential Primary Functions:

  • Verify that all licenses and credentials are updated for each location that the provider works in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. This can consist of conducting background screenings relevant to all information regarding education, training, and prevalent job experience.
  • Must be committed to following up on all necessary information obtained from insurance companies that provider is currently in network with.
  • Assist in the new hire process procedures by reviewing information from referencing sources and resumes. Acquiring attained knowledge from boards that provider meets licensing and credential requirements from the boards.
  • Input and track information for databases.

Secondary Functions:

  • Assist with the processing of insurance claims with timely filing.
  • Contact insurance companies for follow up information on any claims that need to be rectified.
  • Post financial summaries for different locations through research from varies streams of insurance companies.
  • Analyze, budget, and reconcile financial accounts

Core Qualifications:

  • Must be detail oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft office, such as Word, Excel, and other databases.
  • Prompt and punctual with pertinent information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s preferred, not required
  • Previous dental experience
  • Strong research skills with knowledge of licensing and certification requirements.
  • Previous work experience with auditing licensing and reviewing applications.
  • Detailed knowledge on the current guidelines and regulations for credentialing facilities and staff

Salary: $13.22-22/hr

*Compensation based on experience
