Smith Dental Care is hiring a Dental Assistant at our Lilburn location. We are a dental practice with soon-to-be 6 clinical office locations, open 7 days a week. Our full-time employees enjoy a schedule of 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts with 4 days off. One weekend day required.

Duties you will learn to do:

  • Sterilizing dental instruments & equipment for each patient
  • Organizing & laying out instruments for dentist’s use
  • Handing instruments & other materials to dentist during procedures
  • Taking x-rays of patients’ teeth
  • Taking impressions of patients’ teeth for casts
  • Using suction & swabs to keep patients’ mouths clear & dry during procedures
  • Applying topical anesthetic to patients’ mouths
  • Make temporary crowns
  • Obtaining patients’ dental records
  • Questioning patients about their medical history & recording information for dentist’s reference
  • Making patients feel comfortable before, during & after dental treatment
