Smith Dental Care is hiring a General Dentist at our Athens location. We are a unique dental practice with soon-to-be 6 clinical office locations total, open 7 days a week from 8am-8pm. Our clinical staff enjoy a schedule of 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts with 4 days off! We love our patients & want to provide them with truly convenient hours. Our goal is to make our patients feel cared for & welcome as we pride ourselves on excellent customer service.

Dentist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits
  • Prescribe antibiotics & pain-relieving medications
  • Provide patient care for cracked or fractured teeth
  • Perform procedures to treat decay & cavities
  • Prepare & place fillings
  • Examine patients for dental & jaw diagnoses
  • Create models for dental appliances
  • Perform general dentistry
  • Interpret x-rays & diagnostic tests
  • Administer anesthetics
  • Perform tooth extractions & root canals
  • Diagnose & treat oral diseases
  • Create detailed treatment plans for patients
  • Educate patients on aftercare & answer questions

Dentist Requirements & Qualifications

  • D.S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) & American Dental Association.
  • Licensed to practice in (applicable state).
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Good interpersonal skills & communication.
  • Accurate & precise attention to detail.
  • Compassionate & caring of patients.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Calm & cool-headed with a positive attitude.
  • Complies with all office, local, state, & American Dental Association regulations, protocols, & procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $600.00 – $1,200.00 per day
