Job description

Smith Dental Care is hiring an Office Manager at our Savannah location. We are a dental practice with soon-to-be 6 clinical office locations total, open 7 days a week. Our Office Managers enjoy a schedule of 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts with 4 days off. One weekend day may be required.

Minimum Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the office, including things like resolving patient issues, coordinating team/doctor schedules, & tracking inventory levels
  • Respond to clinical & operational issues in a timely & professional manner
  • Support the General Manager of the office by managing internal office procedures & practices
  • Monitor & manage consult flow for consistency, efficiency of doctor/staff time
  • Responsible for ensuring best practices are in place. Able to manage scheduling efficiency, problem solve spontaneously & proactively plan ahead
  • Responsible for ensuring the development of staff is scheduled & able to coach & manage performance as necessary
  • Support clinical training programs & mentoring to ensure the clinical staff meets the technical requirements of their positions
  • Set an example for the team by leading with encouragement to develop trust with staff & patients
  • Perform other similar tasks as necessary to ensure that the practice meets its metrics in support of strategic & profitability objectives
  • Assist General Manager in maintaining compliance in accordance with HIPAA & OSHA standards

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Dental experience preferred
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Strong leadership, communication & motivation skills as well as ability to supervise others
  • Efficient multi-tasking & organizational skills
  • Maturity, tact, integrity & respect for patient confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.36 – $23.00 per hour
